Is this a good vintage wine?
Wolf Blass 1996 Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon, i brought it as a present for my partner it was really expensive. Its already twelve years old, but I wanted him to keep it until our first born child turns 18, i was told this is possible, but now im having doubts after readong a few comments...Ive read other questions on Vintage Wines on yahoo answers, and someone said you should store this kind of wine ten years at the most. But the Man at the shop said, this wine was a limited edition vintage, made to keep for years....Im so confused, and wondering what is true?

1973 vintage wine value?
I have a bottle of 1973 LaCour Pavillion grand vin de bordeaux. Its says MEDOC under the name. I was wondering if anyone knows the value of this bottle. Its in excellent shape and sealed.

Ok, so I need the name of a bottle of wine or cognac that you could have bought in 1959 for a present to be given this year so something that would have been expected to age well . Cost is not an issue, but it must be something a man would have bought in 1959 to keep for his son for his 50th birthday for a book I'm writing .Any thoughts?

Help in looking for any 1969 vintage wine?
I'm hoping to get help finding a 1969 vintage that is peak or soon after peak. Doesn't really matter if it is red or white, but I would like it to be at least 90 points or higher if possible and hopefully not over $100 a bottle. In essense looking for a good wine doesn't have to be awesome and $1000, I guess a Port would possibly be the best. My 40th birthday is coming up and I would like a few bottles from the year I was born. I have only gotten into learning about wines in the last year and it is exciting. I only hope I'm not asking a dumb question because I'm still a novice at this. Everywhere I have looked so far, I have seen that 1969 wasn't a great year, but OK. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this issue. I would like to see some website info if possible because birthday is in three weeks from today.Thanks to all

Can anyone tell me anything about this old vintage wine?
I just got this as a gift from a neighbor who didn't want it, and am curious about it. It says " 1971 Chateau de Saint Pierre Grand Vin Sec Henri Dulac" .I was a cheap merlot guy myself for years, so this intrigues me. Any help info advice would be greatly appreciated who knows, maybe whomever helps out the most can come pick it up for yourself Thank you And yes, I did google for answers, and nothing popped up that I could find. The Value of Vintage Wine?
I have came accross a bottle of C. Da Silva Porto, House Reserve, 1944 Port. The bottle is full, and the original seal has not been broken. I have tried to look this wine up, and the only thing I have found is that it is some very fine, and expensive wine. You are right about the value. This in fact looks like a very fine wine....so tempting just to savor a sample.
