Best way to flatten stomach? Ab machine at the gym, traditional ab exercises (e.g. crunches), or Pilate's?
I used to be pudgy but recently lost around 15 pounds from jogging 8 to 20 miles per week. I can handle weight loss. My problem is that my abs look terrible. I look somewhat slender overall, but when I left up the front of my shirt and people see my flabby stomach they can't believe it. I've worked out, on and off, throughout my life but have never had solid abs. I'm not looking to have a super cut 6 pack or anything. But a flat, trim, respectable looking stomach would be nice. What's the best way to achieve this by April? Ab machine at the gym, traditional ab exercises e.g. crunches , or pilates? btw, I am 33 years old, 5'9" & 160 lbs.My gym membership last until April.
Where should your legs be for ab exercises?
I was just curious, for best results, should your legs be placed at shoulder width distance apart when doing a crunch or situp ect. Or close together? Many thanks
Why do i have a six pack of abs even though i don't do any ab exercises?
I have a six pack yet i don't do any ab exercises and i eat crap all day. I'm not super skinny i have a very athletic body i play a lot of very aerobic and physical sports .I'm 15 btw.

If you are losing weight but also doing ab exercises, will you have a nice six pack waitivg for you lol?
I know you have to get down to a low body fat percentage to see your six pack.But is it useless to do ab exercises while you are losing the weight, or will your abs be toned right when you do lose enough weight?

I have been exercising a lot lately everyday for a month , and I've already noticed a huge difference on my stomach it's getting smaller and my whole figure is overall getting smaller .What I want now is not a six pack or anything, but just curves that go in more if you know what I mean . Two days after workout, my ABS are sore even though I didn't do any ab exercises?
Two nights ago I did the cross ramp at the highest incline possible. It was very steep almost like steps. I did it for 30 minutes straight, which is a lot for me. I hadn't worked out in like 2 and a half weeks, and my routine before that was to do 12 15 mins at a time...so 30 mins was a lot. I burned, according to the machine, 276 calories... I expected my legs, calves, highs and butt to be really really sore the next two days...however, the only place I'm feeling it is my abs Why is that?

I'm 125 pounds 57 kg , 5 foot 5 167 cm but my abs are not toned. I still have a bit of flab when I sit down so I started doing ab exercises. The thing is I get a small bulge in my tummy while I'm exercising. I see the small bulge when my muscles are supposed to be working so my abs just feel hard and round. Arent they supposed to be flat? is this normal?The bulge is not painful or anything. It's just that my tummy literally protrudes outwards when I do sit ups for instance.
Pain after ab exercises?
I never workout my abs and last night I decided to. This morning I woke up and there is a sharp pain there. It isn't sore so much as hurt. Is this normal?

okay so some info about me, im 5'7 inches i weight 106 pounds and have a body fat percentage of 7.77 %. i come from a very thin family, nobody in it is fat at all except through marriage. my ab muscles are decently strong if i flex my abs u can see a 4 pack lol but if i just stand up straight its invisible. so my question is what exercises should i do for a 6 pack and how many reps and sets should i do, also how many times a week? oh and i have a exercise ball and a mat for at home exercising if that info will help u at all. oh i dont expect to see results fast i just want my abs to be ready for when spring summer comes around lol im already below 10 % body fat
Been doing ab exercises.....?
I've started off with 20 crunches, 10 using an ab trimmer and 10 using a exercise ball. I've done it for 3 days now since sunday but the area around my abs now feels really sore. Is this normal? Does it mean that my abs are starting to get toned? And how long do you think it will be until my abs start to show?
