Question: Is the 60gb playstation 3 console worth the extra $100?

I kinda think it depends on what your gonna use it for. If your just a gamer than no it's not worth it. It'll take ya half a century to fill up 60G worth of saved games. If you gonna be saving multimedia file, pics, videos or whatever other junk, than maybe. I'd just get an Xbox 360 or a Wii.

Not sure what it costs for a PS3 in the states but at £425 ($800) for the box standard PS3 in the UK the answer has to be a resounding, NO!!

If your going to buy a PS3 most defiantly. Another 20 GBs of memory for only a hundred bucks more? It's a great deal. Besides the 60 gb comes with an extra controller as far as I know, that would cost 45 dollars right there.

No. Don't get a PS3. Get a Wii. The Xbox 360 is fine, but the Wii is so much more fun.

If you're going to buy a PS3, I'd highly recommend getting the 60GB version. 20GB would run out of hard drive space REALLY fast if you juggle multiple games at once. I own a 60GB and love it. Ignore people who tell you not to get a PS3 - apparently they've never played it. It's a great system, and Blue Ray movies look INCREDIBLE on it. The interface is nice and clean and easy to navigate. I was pleasantly surprised with the system.
