Why do women exercise during pregnancy?
I don't think they will lose weight...? Whats the point?
Why is it important to exercise during pregnancy? Am i over doing it? How does it benefit the baby?
I just walked for 45 minutes on my treadmill, it wasn't on incline and it was at a slow comfortable speed but it still made my stomach muscles sore it always did before I got pregnant when I use to work out but this time it worried me because I know you're not supposed to work out your ab muscles at all during pregnancy. I know walking on a treadmill is a good way to stay active when you're pregnant but it tightens and firms my ab muscles every time and I think that's bad? Also I'm wondering how exercise benefits the baby? I'm 16 weeks
Did you exercise during pregnancy?
And if so, how much weight did you gain during your pregnancy? How much weight did you lose after pregnancy, and was it easy to lose if you did exercise? Thanks in advance to everyone who answers my questions Thanks Mary Ann That really helped, it just keeps me motivated Emily Williams. I was swimming but its really cold where I am at. Now, I am doing Samba fitness its a dance DVD. I try to workout at least 30mins 3 4x a week. I hope this is enough. I find that I get tired so easy now. Thank you for you detailed answer.
Is too much exercise during pregnancy bad, I know there was a crazy woman who ran the?
marathan from 7 9 months pregnant. HOwever, because I have a 2 year old and even otherwise I am very active all the time. I wonder if it has affected how big my this child at 36 weeks in my tummy is growing. Maybe it will be great in the end because the baby 2 is not growing as big as baby 1 and I may be able to go into natural labor. MAYBE. But I'm wondering if exercise, like picking up 24 bottles of water they sell them in packs of 24 and groceries, and walking around most of the time rather than sleeping when I am sleepy unless I am too sleepy then I sleep for like one hour all day and then at night of course , is bad, or okay, and I'm just worrying.
How do you stay motivated and find time to exercise during pregnancy?
I hate to admit it but I am all or nothing when it comes to exercises. I will go months exercising regularly and then I miss a few days and boom...I'm sedentary for months Unfortunately I started my pregnancy this way too, I am 18 weeks and really don't exercise at all. I have a 2 year old which also makes it difficult to exercise. I used to walk a lot with her but now she wants to walk herself, not ride in the stroller, and we walk VERY SLOW. So my question...what do you do to stay motivated and how do you make time if you already have kids. I wish I could afford a gym with child care but we can't.Any other prenatal exercise tips suggestions? Thanks

This is not including special occasions. Also, what are the best exercises to keep healthy and in shape without stressing your body or exceeding with the fatigue and discomforts you have during pregnancy. Not including walking and swimming.Ways to tone ?I don't want to gain too much weight and I want to be able to loose it afterward.Especially, after losing 120lbs before our beautiful surprise

Benefits of exercise during pregnancy?
My issue is that it is hard to stay motivated to work out when my scale still creeps upward because I'm pregnant . I know this is really silly because that scale is going to creep upward, it is SUPPOSED to creep upward when you're pregnant But I find myself thinking " Aw what's the point of exercise then." and not wanting to work out. What are the other benefits to working out when you're pregnant? Does it help your blood pressure? Because that's a big one I am afraid of developing high blood pressure or pre eclampsia.I was just feeling so bummed this morning because I've been really good about working out every day, and when I stepped on the scale this morning I was two pounds heavier. I know this is just because I'm pregnant and I'm gaining " pregnancy" weight but it still makes it difficult to be motivated to get on the step machine every day because unlike when I'm not pregnant, I am not being " rewarded" and motivated by seeing a weight loss on the scale. Help me think of ways to stay motivated, and reasons why exercise is still beneficial even if you aren't exercising to lose weight.
Exercise during pregnancy advice?
Where can I find good advice on exercises suitable to do during pregnancy?
Do the benefits of exercising during pregnancy comr from ANY aerobic activity?
Or does " walking" give any more benefit over other cardio machines? I ask because I can't do much walking my feet start to hurt. But I love doing cardio on the stairmaster or arc trainer. Am I getting just as much benefit? Surely, the answer is yes, right?

Exercise during pregnancy? what is ok?
I was always really active before I got pregnant Now iam so tired I dont feel like i have the energy to do anything.I am now 10 weeks and 3 days and trying to get back into exercising. At my first DR visit I just got to see the physican assistant. She told me NOT TO DO SQUATS OR CRUNCHES.I have since looked up some info and pregnancy workout dvds online and all the info I read says squats and crunches are ok in your first and 2nd trimester and all the workout dvds have squats and sit ups in them .So are sqauts and sit ups ok or not?So far my pregnancy is completely normal no health issues besides my asthma which I control with meds.
