Adopting A dog from a pet adoption even?
So we're going to petco this weekend for there pet adoption event. Could anyone tell me the process? Will we be able to bring the dog home that day? Are the dogs good to adopt and is it safe? And has anyone adopted from these events before? Thanks

What is a pet adoption fee on Craigslist?
You are allowed to " sell" pets on Craigslist but it is OK to offer them for adoption with an adoption fee. How is an adoption fee different from " selling" other than the wording?I do not like any answers so far. What I am actually asking is why can't someone just say the price is an " adoption fee" ? How can Craigslist determine if the price is a " selling price" or an " adoption fee" ? Would there be a cutoff? For example an adoption fee would be under $25 and a selling price over $100. Anything in between is questionable.
A pet adoption question?
Ok, so I have this wonderful black miniature poodle. But things have arose and my family has decided that in our best interest and also hers, we need to find a new, loving home for our sweet little girl. But to the point, are their any websites were I can, myself, put her on the website to be adopted? Because I really do not want to have to take her to the HSPCA or anything of that sort. It is much too sad. I just need some good ideas on a possible solution. Oh and by the way, I live in Houston, Texas.
Why do pet adoption agencies require home inspections?
I have been doing some online research into non profit organizations to adopt my next pet cat from. Every single one requires an application, including references, vet references, some even ask for a commitment to not declaw the cat. I am fine with all that. BUT I'm finding that a lot of these organizations are requiring HOME INSPECTIONS? To adopt a cat ? Has anyone here gone through with that? I want to have another pet, but my goodness. I don't know those people I don't want strangers inspecting my home... especially if I'm forking out almost 100 bucks for the adoption. Is this normal? I have nothing to hide but I feel like this may be a scam?I'm pretty sure that I'm just going to go to the Humane society instead... but I kinda fell for a kitty with the private organization. ' Yea, $100 is a great price for a friend, but I was referring to the fact that most people who would be crappy parents wouldn't even make THAT financial commitment? I feel that it's pretty irresponsible and catty to refuse an adoption and forward to all shelters based on a home inspection referral especially since 99 % of these adoption agencies require personal references, Vet references, and in some cases contracts. You DO want these animals to find their forever home right? Great people sometimes don't like sharing their homes with other humans.

I have been looking all over the internet and cant seem to find one. I am having to re home my dog due to the fact that I am separating from my husband and neither of us can keep her so when I find a home for her I want to have a contract with the new owners. I live in South Carolina if that matters.

We really want to adopt a dog and our landlord as agreed to let us get one so long as it stays outside. But we're having a hard time being approved by shelters and adoption agencies who expect us to have the dog inside. I'm giving a persuastive speech on pet adoption. At the end I have to have something concrete for my classmates to do to show I persuaded them to help out my cause for example signing a petition . We are all broke so I can't ask for money. I was thinking of passing out opt to adopt stickers and asking them to wear those all day. I really wanna have a hamster as a pet , but i dont want to buy it from a pet store, because people say that the pets aren't well cared for & have a higher potential of being sick , so i would rather adopt one or rescue one , but i dont know where i can find a place like that near where i live I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada so know any places, i dont really know how to search it up $& also , do you think it's maybe better to just to buy a hamster from a pet store , cuz then i am sorta rescuing them too ,from the horrible pet store owners who, i heard, most of the time don't care for their animals, but only about ways they can make more money.
