Need help on dog adoption!?
Before my girlfiend and I started dating her dog died. For Valentines day I would like to adopt a dog and give it to her. She loves Maltese but I'm having a hard time finding one in the area. Are there any other dog breeds that are similar? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello everyoneI am planning to buy a pup in some days. I am considering breeds like pug, lab, doberman and German shepherd. As I live in Rajasthan, the temperature rises to 47 degrees C in summers and falls to 4 or 5 in winters so I want to adopt accordingly. Recently, I read somewhere that pugs develop respiratory problems in high temperatures, so please if anyone has knowledge on the matter, can you advice me?I don't want a very big friend, small one will be okay too. Thanks in advance

I have 3 little dogs a 4 year old female Mini powderpuff chinese crested, an 8 year old male Chihuahua Jack Russel terrior, and a 2 year old male malese poodle and i also have a cat. We've had our 8 year old boy the longest and hes very protective of us, and doesnt get along so well with the other dogs because theyre really hyper and act like puppies. theyre all untrained but act very trained for untrained dogs and theyre very sweet. In my house, they live primarily in the garage backyard. but were moving soon and my mom wants to adopt the two younger dogs and the cat out to other people who can maybe take better care of them. how do we do that? do you think people will adopt them, because theyre older and untrained? and will the oldest be really lonely with us my mom thinks he wants to be alone....im confused though kind of. i dont know what we would do

i am looking to get a dog and would like to know if there is any where i could adopt a dog cheap most places are 150 Berkeley is 100 San Francisco was running a deal where adoption was only 50 but i think that ended if any one can help plz reply to show i am responsible i have to pay adoption fees and my parents cant help me my dad will help with all the other expenses

I would like to adopt a Husky dog. But i do not know if this would be right for my family since one member generally does not like dogs. I want to adopt a dog in the near future, therefore I'm gathering information prior to getting one. I'm just very skeptical about getting one from certain stores because according to my research, I'm coming across a lot of deceitful places that house sick puppies which is extremely horrible.

Can you open a dog adoption that has NOTHING to do with puppy mills?
i'm 16 and when i grow up i wanna open a dog cat adoption but i just HATE puppy cat mills. i wanna stop them thats why i wanna open one im 16 i can dream can i? but my mom says shelters and dog adoption are owned by the government so ya, can you actually open one, and if so then how do you get dogs cats other than from, finding them on the street, like what if you dont find any, and ONLY if you know how much is it to open one $$ thank you for all of your answers
Is there a fee for pet adoptios or dog adoptions?
To any one who is concerned I am assuming that there is a fee to help pay for whatever medicines and care they need and to help pay for their food and care for the care of the animals. I am assuming that e bay follows the same rules as the shelters do. I did'nt check it out I just took it for granted.that they all followed the same guidelines.
Ridiculous dog adoption requirements?
am i the only person who thinks adoption requirements at shelters are a tad rediculous? i have a maltipoo, and i rescued her from the street and shes probably the most spoiled dog ever. she is around family all the time and she gets toys and clothes and treats all the time shes also very well behaved,even though i dont have a fenced in yard she gets to play outside because shes so well trained that i can trust her off leash yet many shelters and rescue organizations believe i am unfit to adopt, partly because i rent and i dont have a fenced in yard ,and i have a full time job. plus there are a lot of kids around the house, but my dog is VERY happy i dont get the harsh restrictions. is it just me?
