Is there a pet adoption agency with free intake in Baltimore, MD?
A few months ago, a " friend" asked me to take her cats until the end of the year because she and her girlfriend were moving. They were to supply food and litter and pay me $100 month. After the second month, I never received the $100 but they made excuses and still supplied food and litter so I just gave in and kept them 'cause I care about animals.As of December 1st, I started texting calling them to see when they were going to come get the cats and told them they were running low on food and litter and I have not since received a response so I have decided to check out shelters since I can't afford to keep them and pay all my own bills.However, when I looked up some adoption shelters in MD they seemed to talk about fees for taking in animals. I can't afford to pay $50 to LOSE the cats since I can't afford to pay $20 to feed them. I've got my hands full with two jobs and school so I'm doing all I can.If anyone knows of a shelter who will accept the cats despite the lack of money, or else if you know that centers will take them if I explain the situation, please let me know.
How likely do you think it is for us to be approved for pet adoption?
Family of three, own a home. Already own one dog and one cat. Would like to adopt rescue a dog from a local shelter. We do have a fenced in yard. Only negative I can think off is that we both work during the day. Which is why we want to do this to find a companion for the dog we already have . What do you think our chances are for being approved?
How can I encourage my college classmates to support pet adoption?
I'm giving a persuastive speech on pet adoption. At the end I have to have something concrete for my classmates to do to show I persuaded them to help out my cause for example signing a petition . We are all broke so I can't ask for money. I was thinking of passing out opt to adopt stickers and asking them to wear those all day. Also I would pass out a list of online websites and local shelters they could adopt from. Any ideas?

What is a pet adoption fee on Craigslist?
You are allowed to " sell" pets on Craigslist but it is OK to offer them for adoption with an adoption fee. How is an adoption fee different from " selling" other than the wording?I do not like any answers so far. What I am actually asking is why can't someone just say the price is an " adoption fee" ? How can Craigslist determine if the price is a " selling price" or an " adoption fee" ? Would there be a cutoff? For example an adoption fee would be under $25 and a selling price over $100. Anything in between is questionable.

Ok, so I have this wonderful black miniature poodle. But things have arose and my family has decided that in our best interest and also hers, we need to find a new, loving home for our sweet little girl. But to the point, are their any websites were I can, myself, put her on the website to be adopted? Because I really do not want to have to take her to the HSPCA or anything of that sort. It is much too sad. I just need some good ideas on a possible solution. Oh and by the way, I live in Houston, Texas.
What to expect on a home visit/check for a pet adoption?
I am in the process of adopting a chihuahua and the foster parent is supposed to come over with the dog for us to meet the dog and for the foster parent to do a house check. What should I expect or prepare for? We don't have any other pets, live in a house with a fence, and have a deck in case that matters.Our upstairs isn't messy and is quite clean and tidy, but our basement is pretty messy. Do I even need to worry about cleaning the basement or should I just say that the dog wouldn't have access to it because of the mess? Is that acceptable or do they need to check every nook and cranny even if the dog won't have access to the area? Aside from this is there anything else they may check for?

OK. So, I am trying various websites to find a dog to adopt, but I can't find any. Such as in Oodle, there are like tons of cute dogs, but they don't email back. And it seems like they just wanna spam or get my info like cell to sell out for ads or sth. I really hate it. And not humane society because I want to adopt a baby ones I checked it out and there are only adult dogs . I mean I am serious with this, not like others who just want them when they are young and throw them away when they grow up. My family does currently have an adult chiwawa too. That's why I also want it to be nice looking .So, where can I GO to see visually and adopt one in LA?
