Ok, so I m hypoglycemic Mostly a moderate one but sometimes it gets out of control like I start to throw up everything I eat, Headaches, feeling dizzy and my feet get loose Even two years ago when I was a senior in high school, I had a nearly hypoglycemic attack At that time I didn't know I was hypoglycemic I started to breathe very fast sweat all over body and all of a sudden my chest jumped up and my feet started to shake badly and uncontrollably, mostly what you call a seizure But I haven't experienced those attacks SERIOUSLY for like 2 years although sometimes it happens when I m in bed trying to sleep Should I wear a hypoglycemic bracelet since it is one of the 20 cases that are recommended to be wore?

i am starting to go on more trips without my parents with school or friends and there parents and even walking around by my self running errands and stuff, and i was thinking maybe i should get one of those bracelets that say i have asthma on them? just incase i happen to be out without my mom and i forgot my inhaler, what do you think? and how would i ask her for one?? what would i say?

Is it ok to wear charms on a medical alert bracelet?
I was born with a congenital heart defect so I wear a medical alert bracelet, and it came with one little red charm to let EMT's know it was a medical ID, but it looked bare and people would see the one charm and then ask & i didn't always want to flip my wrist over & show them the other side with my name and medical info so I started to slowly add little charms to it, turning it into a charm bracelet on the top part of my wrist. Is this OK? Aren't EMT's trained to look for medical alert bracelets anyways?

I am epileptic and want a bracelet so its not in people's faces like a necklace would be but paramedics would know to check. I really want a stretchy wristband for a coupla quid but they don't do those singly. I'll pay 20 if I have to but if anyone's got any better ideas that would be great.No answer which tells me where to get one for less than 20.

EMS's/EMT's: How effective is a medical alert tattoo?
I've been considering getting a medical alert tattoo Type I Diabetes for some time, and I'd like to get some professional opinions. I've heard different stances ranging from medical alert tattoos being a great idea to them being completely useless. An EMS I know said that she thought it sounded cool, but she described the process they use and it sounded like they don't check carefully. So as a professional, are medical alert tattoos a good idea? Would it be seen? Specifically a star of life on the inside of the wrist on someone with no other tattoos .

So I know it's important for diabetics to wear a medical alert bracelet, especially those with type 1 because they take insulin daily so they're more likely to become hypoglycemic. What about people with type 2? Should they wear a medical alert bracelet too?
