Question for diabetics/people who wear a medical alert bracelet?
I am personally a right handed person, who wears a medical alert bracelet on my left wrist. Before I got diabetes, I preferred wearing a watch on my left wrist, but now choose not to wear a watch since wearing it on my right wrist seems strange.Does anybody else have this problem, what solution have you found?
Do paramedics and doctors actually notice medical alert bracelets?

EMS's/EMT's: How effective is a medical alert tattoo?
I've been considering getting a medical alert tattoo Type I Diabetes for some time, and I'd like to get some professional opinions. I've heard different stances ranging from medical alert tattoos being a great idea to them being completely useless. An EMS I know said that she thought it sounded cool, but she described the process they use and it sounded like they don't check carefully. So as a professional, are medical alert tattoos a good idea? Would it be seen? Specifically a star of life on the inside of the wrist on someone with no other tattoos .
Is it ok to wear charms on a medical alert bracelet?
I was born with a congenital heart defect so I wear a medical alert bracelet, and it came with one little red charm to let EMT's know it was a medical ID, but it looked bare and people would see the one charm and then ask & i didn't always want to flip my wrist over & show them the other side with my name and medical info so I started to slowly add little charms to it, turning it into a charm bracelet on the top part of my wrist. Is this OK? Aren't EMT's trained to look for medical alert bracelets anyways?

i am starting to go on more trips without my parents with school or friends and there parents and even walking around by my self running errands and stuff, and i was thinking maybe i should get one of those bracelets that say i have asthma on them? just incase i happen to be out without my mom and i forgot my inhaler, what do you think? and how would i ask her for one?? what would i say?

Exercise induced asthma medical alert bracelet?
hiim 13 and i have very severe exercise induced asthma. If i dont take my inhaler before and after a bit of running swimming biking i can't breath at all. Even if im late for class so i have to run from one side of my school to another i have to take my inhaler. so i'm severely allergic to penicillin, like if i have it one more time i will literally die, or be close to it.i was wondering if i really need a medical alert bracelet because of that.i've seen that i should, and i want to get one, just in case.but i'm not entirely sure i will need it ever.
