My hands are sticky when I wake up. If this a sign of diabetes?
A week ago I woke with my left hand sticky. Soon the right one was too. I've tried rubbing and have used four different kinds of soap, including dish washing soap. The only thing that gets rid of it is wetting my hands and scrubbing with salt. This has happened three times in the past week. My blood sugar is 77 taken by a friend so I don't know when I ate.
Can you get type 2 diabetes at age 21?
Hi all, I am starting to get nervous that I have diabetes. This is mostly due to the fact that I drink A LOT of water. I had contributed this to the fact that I wear invisalign, and it has always seemed to make me thirsty. However, I recently found out that excessive thirst along with irritability are symtoms of diabetes. I'm very nervous I may have it, I'm male, 21, 6 ft, 200 lbs and regularly active and try to eat right. Has anyone heard of getting diabetes at such a young age? Also, I just started to notice these symptoms the last week or so, can it really develop that fast?

Do you think i have diabetes? Please answer!?
I once had a doctor tell me i had large amounts of glucose in my urine. However, this wasnt my regular doctor, it was a fill in. And by the time i went back, i had strep throat unrelated and my regular doctor ive since switched doctors didnt seem to mention it so i thought nothing of it. I pee excessively, i drink excessively i can drink a two liter in a night, if you let me. and here's the strange thing, i dont know if its related. But my legs past my knee itch so bad, to the point wherei have sores on them from scratching so much. Also, ive lost weight excessively lately. Ten pounds in a week. But the thing is, i havent been hungry. And when i do get hungry, i take a few bites and i legitimately feel full. Well a few days ago, i fell out at work and started shaking and couldnt move my arms, and everything went dark. They said my blood sugar was low 49 , but that could be just from not eating properly. And why wasnt it high if im diabetic? That would mean hypoglycemic right? And what about that glucose in my urine? I dont know why i didnt think anything of it, but could it just be there for another reason? I went to my doctor, and he told me i had another UTI i had one in november and that could be another sign. I go in for a glucose tolerance test wednesday, im just nervous and thought i'd get some support from people who know what im going through

What could this be besides diabetes?
My symptoms are Excessive thirst to the point where my mouth waters when I think about drinking something My eyes won't focus I've been craving chocolate so much I have this hungry feeling like my stomach is completely empty even though I've eatenI've been faint After I've had chocolate I've felt all jittery and uneasy And idk whether this has anything to do with it but I've had shortness of breathe But the thing is just 2 days ago I was concerned about this and got my blood glucose levels tested about an hour after I ate muesli and it was 4.3 I've been tested before aswell and it's been negative. I do have fibromyalgia but these aren't the sort of symptoms you get with it really.
How long after giving birth can you still have gestational diabetes?
My sister had a baby one year ago she has many symptoms of diabetes she has an appointment to be checked its not for a couple weeks though. so my question is can you still have gestational diabetes a year later if your still over weight and eating unhealthy or is it now type 2 diabetes??
I know what the symptoms are for diabetes but was wondering if it could be something else...?
For the past week and a half I have felt completely exhausted, tired, dizzy, had headaches every night, my mouth is dry a lot, seems like I am urinating a lot more than normal. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative, so it's not that. I don't know if diabetes would be the right answer or not, but just wanted some opinions I'll be calling the doctor probably tomorrow because I am getting tired of being so tired the second I wake up and I don't snap out of it all day.I am breastfeeding currently and it has been warmer here for the past 3 days, but I don't know if either has anything to do with how I'm feeling. Any helpful answers will help thanks.

Is it true that diabetes can 'skip a generation'?
Is it true that diabetes can 'skip a generation'?There is a strong line of people in my family that have or had diabetes. All of my da's aunts and uncles on both of his parent's sides, bar one man, had diabetes, including his parents, which is, I believe around 14 people. They were all more or less diagnosed late 20s, early 30s. My dad, he's in his mid 40s and hasn't got diabetes. If this 'skipped generation' factor is true, do me 17 and my brother 20 have as high a chance of getting it as what our da does...? Diabetes is something we'd need to look further into now that we're growing up, it's not something we're entirely sure of, but thanks in advance for any answers, they're greatly appreciated
