Questions on farsightedness and lasik?
Alright I've worn glasses since I was two years old and am seventeen now, my eyeglass prescription has gone up and down all my life, but in recent years has hit a steady decline. When I first started wearing glasses I had to wear an eye patch over my right eye to correct with my doctors thought was a treatable lazy eye. I'm currently far sighted, have an astigmatism, and at my most recent appointment found out I had untreatable strabismus. I only see out of one eye and the other for the most part is out of focus, because my eye muscles don't work together My mom asked my doctor if I could get Lasik to treat the far sightedness, and he said that it would be a waste of money and it would just be a wasted surgery, because people gradually grow farsighted with age, and my eyesight would just worsen again. He said it also wouldn't help my strabismus, so there really was no point. We asked if we had any options for the strabismus and he said no, because the surgery had too high of a risk of blinding me or just doing nothing at all.I suppose my question would be if my eyesight is just going to keep declining is there really nothing I can do about it? Is Lasik really a waste for me or should I consider going to get a second opinion from another doctor? I realize blindness might be an ultimate thing here but wouldn't Lasik at least prolong my vision?

my eyes are completly normal like needed for lasik person , money is not an issue. i have 4.0 powerBUT i am scared of lasik surgery option.how safe is it. ?i had heard tat flap remain unhealed throughout your life. . . > how safe is this. . y normal eye optician who do normal checkups use spects. i had visited 4 5 of them with spects .?pls if u have correct info on lasik, share.... pls...BTW reason for lasik is i dont like spects.......shud I b with my contacts or go for lasik.....

I want to get it but after 3 years my vision gotten worse. My optometrist said I should be elgible to get it but I have to wait because my perscription change. I want to get it before I'm 21 and I'm 18 now

first, will it hurt? im not a wuss but it seems like major pain cuz they're sticking a laser in your eye.second, is it permanent? i dont wanna spend however much only to have it wear off in a few years, which leads us to my next question...how much does it cost? see above question.please no cost answers in rupees but american dollars

Hello, everyone I'm asking this question a little earlier than I have to. about 3 years early but I rather do the research in my spare time than be uninformed and ignorant when the time comes. LONG STORY SHORT My mother offered to pay for breast augmentation when I graduate college with my bachelor degree in 3 years Spring 2015 . My chest is not completely flat, but I have small, perky breasts 34 A, small B . I would NOT be doing this to " get guys" or " be a pornstar" or anything like that. I'm 19 years old right now, and it's the little things like constantly pulling at my tank top or shirt because of my lack of cleavage, or just feeling insecure about wearing certain dresses, shirts, etc. that make me think of getting this procedure done. I have had boyfriends who have never said anything bad about it, and have actually liked my perky chest, but I would feel more confident if they were larger. Because I am a naturally curvy girl not unhealthy, just normal, with curves, muscle tone, etc at 5'7" 5'8" I can add a photo if anyone would like to refer to it I feel as if my breasts are inadequate and not proportionate to my frame. On the flip side, I have a high prescription and currently wear contacts most of the time I'm so lucky, aren't I? lol and believe that lasik would be the more practical choice. However, I want to know if it would last, etc. and if I can even qualify because of my astigmatism.As I said, I have quite a while to make the decision, but I would like some input from you guys. Thank you in advance.
Is this normal after lasik?
My wife had Lasik about 2 months ago. Her eyes were really bad, something like 20 2500. After the surgery she had perfect vision, however her eyes have started to go bad..sort of back to the way they were. Does anyone know if this is normal? The thing is she cannot ever get it done again based on how bad they were. The doctor said to give it 3 months to heal, but I would assume getting worse is not healing.
If ive got astigmatism in both eyes can i still get lasik surgery?
First I found out I had an astigmatism in my left eye and recently when I get my yearly check the doc said I had it in both eyes. He kinda said something about it being late to get surgery and contacts are pricey so for now I'm stuck wearing glasses cause its affordable atm. If I can get the surgery done ill be getting it in mexico where its a bit cheaper. Thanks in advance.

Why Lasik is dangerous?
This is not a question. I just want to inform people who are considering lasik to stay away from it. The following link is a short video of how lethal lasik can be on people.
