were going to be mainly outside, jumping & running around.... about 9 kids coming.... what should I serve?? any favorites?
Any ideas for crafts to do at a kids birthday party?
Ok so my daughter is tuning 4 and the theme will Tinkerbell. We're having cake pizza and a pinata for her. Also I will have two tables set up one for boys and the other for girls so the girls theyll have a nail station and coloring pages and making friendship bracelets. I think thats enough. But for the boys i cant think of anything. they will have pirate coloring pages but thats it. I need two more crafts for them to do. Nothing complicated cause there small children too. Any ideas will help. Thanks.
Do I skip kids birthday party where there are possisbly sick kids?
Hi, need to make a decision. My son Has been invited to a four year old birthday party this Sat. The birthday girl's baby brother was admitted to hospital two days ago with a fever and today was released but they don't know whats wrong until tests come back. Needless to say the party for the older sister is still going ahead. Two other friends have just reported sick kids with fevers too in the last couple of days all in our area. The party is being held locally, in a park. I have a healthy 6 month old girl and a healthy 4 yr old boy. I don't want my kids getting sick. This woman is not a close friend but she did JUST attend my sons forth birthday party and she did recently give me two bags of girls clothes that her daughter is too big for. My husband is away, not back until Sunday night which is why I was looking forward to this as something keep us busy while he was gone. Should we attend the birthday party or come up with an excuse?
Does anyone have any ideas for serving veggies at a kids birthday party?
My daughter's birthday is coming up in a month and I am trying to put together a menu. Its a Clifford party, so we are having pizza, a deli platter and giant pigs in a blanket full size hotdogs . We also have a salad and veggie tray along with fun fruit shapes and dessert. What I was wondering of any of you moms or days have fun ways to get the veggies appealing to the kids, like ways to cut fun shapes or what have you. Any veggie suggestions are welcome
Is it bad to go to a kids birthday party without a present?
I dont get paid until monday and the party is this saturday. I am totally brassick so I cant buy the 7 year old anything. I would feel bad taking my son to the party and not giving a present.What do you think?

contagious parvovirus B19???the son had been taken to a med express the day before and diagnosed when they also have a 3 year who wasn't broke out yet. by th way they have had mrsa and gone to party's as well these people are my family members
At what age can you leave your children at a kids birthday party?
I'm 25 and when I was a kid parents dropped there kids off at birthday parties and picked them up around the time the invite said it would be over. My son is five and we have been going to a lot of birthday parties for his preschool kindergarten class mates and the parents always stay. Regardless of type of party weve done picnic styles on kids was at a movie theater my sons was at our house and the parents just hung out. When would you stop tagging a long? Also my son has a birthday party to attend today at 3 and when we RSVP the mom said parents can stay if they wish but are welcome to drop and go as well. I would love to drop and go sense thats what im accustom too but at the same time I don't want to leave and be " that parent" who left when all the others stay. What do you think???
Idea for kids birthday party?
Hi this coming December, we'll be celebrating our children's birthday party. our son will be turning 1 and our daughter will be turning 2. we have decided on a " pirates of the Caribbean" theme. does anyone have any ideas suggestions onn what goes along with this? eg menu, party favours,activities etc?extra info we'll be dressing them up like pirates and the invitation cards and cake and decorations will all be within the theme. the children invited are mostly around their age so i guess games r out of the question. party time is around 4 7 and we'll be having it at a chalet.

Mums.at your kids birthday parties do you cater for special needs& requirements or just not invite those kid?
So would you invite kids with special needs ? or kids that you know are not very good at swim something.Like kids that cannot swim well to a pool party? Also if you do,will you cater for them completely or just expect the parents to have to do all the work?Ok i did not mean to offend,My child is special needs and I'm asking because for the 2nd time my sister did my nieces birthday knowing that my child would have dificulties with it. this year is at a swiming pool and altough my son is great in the water because he as despraxia I will always make him wear either a swimfin or harm bands. I have some problems with hot water is pools and it makes me feel unwell ,I told her this and asked her if she or my brother in law would mind taking him in the water mshe blantly said no.that is why I made my question,not to offend anyonemy niece also wanted to invite 2 other friends but she said no because she thinks they cannot swimhey will not be supervising the other kids ,there is someone elese doing it ,they wount go in the water,that is why I asked them if one of them mindedI would still be there near the swiming pool
Kids birthday parties, think they turn out weird?
I am not very social and never have the kid parties, where a jillion kids come over, and you're seemingly trying to out do other kids parties. We always just have parties for my kids with immediate family and not spend a fortune. My youngest two are now five and in the last year, especially since having went to preschool, are being invited to neighborhood parties. They not only seem to be trying to out do other parties, usually something socially awkward happens, like some parents start drinking because part of the families are actually staying for a evening meal, or like today only part of the kids, who apparently had a note written on their invitation envelope, were to stay for a slumber party. Mine were not among the elite. That didn't really bother me and my boys did not even realize when we left why other kids were staying, but I just wondered if you ever get tired of these kinds of things.
