Please help internet safety issue....?
ok so i met this guy off of some website.It was fun at first but then he got sexual and asked me to send pictures of myself if you know what i mean and i told him no and to leave me alone.but he keeps writing to me and saying i will suck his d and stuff like that and he wont leave me alone what do i do? any advice will be really appreciated thanks btw i'm 13 if that helpsoh and if it gets worse would this need to involve the police?

Late last night, I came across a young girl on the internet. She naively posted enough information that in less than five minutes time, I had her home address, and a name and phone number to go with that address. Using that name I was also able to locate her father's place of employment.I mentioned to this child that this was dangerous, and she tried to say she lived elsewhere. She got very defensive and blamed it on a friend and used profanity in her profile claiming to be her friend. I said nothing further, and went to bed thinking about this worried, really, because it was so easy. I have children of my own.I discussed the issue with my husband this morning, and I called this child's mother. I am sure it was an akward call I certainly felt awkward making it. But I felt it was necessary. The mother sounded shocked, but hopefully will have a discussion with her child about the dangers of the internet.Would you find a phone call such as this disturbing, or would you be glad that someone had taken the time to let you know?While I appreciate the positive remarks, they are really not necessary. As a mother myself, I would want to be informed if my child were behaving in such a manner. I do not think I did anything spectacular.As for the negative remarks...1. It is a good thing that I am NOT a sick and dangerous person. If I were, I certainly would not have called her mother. 2. None of my actions were illegal. 3. Listing sources here would be further exposing her personal information and I would not do such. But, yes it was easy to obtain her father's place of employment by typing his name in a popular search engine, and no he is not in public office.The amount of information that is available on the internet is amazing, but also scary in circumstances like this.My children are 9 and 7, and only use the internet with my direct supervision. As they age, they may have more freedom but they will also have a lot of education about the dangers and I will STILL limit their activities.
How can I ensure the internet safety of my 13 year old son especially when I am not around?

Hi, Im doing a dissertation for third year at University Police Studies , on the area surrounding internet safety for children, and linking it to the controls put in place by some of the top ISP's quite recently and whether this will make a difference etc.I was just wondering if anyone would do my questionnaire as I need responses from Parents guardians mostly. Internet safety class at school??? freaking out!!!?
Omg i was like sexually offended and crap over aim and myspace and tommorow at school we have an internet safety class.... 2 of my friends and 1 of my teachers knows about what happened. Im going to feel so uncomfortable. I start to get flash backs and stuff and it really bothers me.... What should i do??should i email my teacher telling her how uncomfortable i am????
Internet safety?
I need advice on internet safety for my family. I am having a baby in June. I made a website for him which includes his name and pictures of all his family, a blog, pictures of his ultrasound and my husband and myself. I asked a family member for a pitcure of them to include on my website and they wouldn't give it to me b c they say that " internet safety" especially for children is very important. They think that someone can find my child or my family by the pictures on the web page.I have to say, this scared me a little bit and I am thinking about taking the website down. What do you think? Do you have any advice on " internet safety" .By the way, this same person who wouldnt give me their picture has a website for his business with a picture of him and all his business info on it. I questioned him about it and he says that its ok because there is no " personal" stuff on there.

Daughter and Internet Safety?
My daughter has a Club Penguin account. She's 13 and I trust her. I even got her a paid one. A few weeks ago I heard her telling her friend that she was buying a lot of cool clothes to impress the guys on Club Penguin.The other day I was in her room getting her laundry and her computer was on, I went to shut it off when she got an e mail she was at school . I didn't know who it was I know all of her friend's e mails, it was rule when she got her own computer and opened it. Inside it said this Roxi,Hey hon. It's been two days. Why don't you e mail me? I tried Club Penguin but you weren't on babe. What's up? Were you suspended? Call me, you have my number.Love,DaveWell I looked at Dave's profile and it turns out he's a 28 year old man I asked her brother if he knew anything and he said they met on Club Penguin and they fell in love. They exchanged e mail adresses and he gave her his number.I am no longer going to pay for her CP account and she knows about c internet safety, we covered it when she got her computer. She also has a MySpace and they talk on there too He's seen pictures I have already called the police and they are doing some investigating, but what can I do about my daughter.
