What would be the best way to go about this? I'm confident in how good the protection is for the cost but how do I sell that to people that think they don't need it when 1 out of 3 people are affected by it? Any help would be appreciated.
Identity theft help, who do i talk to?
i think my identity has been stolen. my credit is frozen and i can't get approved for anything. i checked my scores but they are telling me they are frozen. what can i do? where do i go for help?no money is missing from the account. and i haven't gotten any bills that aren't mine. its just that i can't get my credit scores and i can't get approved for any loans or credit cards. can the bank help me find out what's wrong?
Income tax refund/Identity theft-help?
My husband and I filed a joint return...however someone in a different state just so happens to be the same state as my husbands ex wife used my husbands name, birthdate and social security number and filed a return fradulantly. Because this thief got the return in ahead of us he was able to have the return depostited directly into his accouont. It has been several months since I filed and I still do not have an answer as to when I will get my return. In fact I am treated like a criminal whenever I call for a status. My local congressman also has an inquiry submitted with the tax payers advocate office thats a joke . I am just wondering if anyone can give me and info on how to expedite this process. I need this money ...I am owed this money and if it were the other way around you can bet I would be being billed interest. Any ideas please help.
Possible identity theft? Help please.?
Just yesterday I opened up a new bank account, for the frist tim ever in my life. To this point I haven't worked ever, and I'm 19 years old. After I opened up the account, I told the guy if I could apply for a credit card, to get my credit going. But I was denied, for the reason being that there was delinquency. The guy at the bank called someone, and apparently, under my social number, things had been bought and what not. To be honest I'm a little scared, what should I do? And how long would it take to fix all this? I really need help.

So someone stole my identity not like my bank account or anything like that they have been usin my social and rented a house in Orlando under my name and social, they bought 2 homes and they were foreclosed on under my name and social and also got credit cards under my name and they haven't been able to find the person that was doing it when I went to the police. Recently I had police come to my house and tell me I had a warrant out for my arrest for viation of probation when I've never been on probation when they got me to the police dept they saw that it wasn't me and the girl was using me as an alias they told me to go to the sheriff dept and tell them what was going on and the sheriff dept acted like it was just petty theft my credit is now shot and I don't know what to do is there any way to fix my credit it's shot I can't even get a bag of skittles under my name it went from 700 to now in the 200's bc of this girl and I never knew bc I've never applied for anything like a home loan or anything like that and I already had a phone and only one credit card that I pay off whenever I use it, now I can't get a phone and they put a stop too my home loan and my surgery. The cops have been no help so any advice would be great or can this even be fixed the cops said I could go to small claims court and that's pretty much all they told me...so any advice or information would be GREATLY appreciated Thanks
