I have become a victim of identity theft. When will I get my IRS refund, if ever?
Upon filing my taxes on 2 4 2012 I received notice that someone had already filed a 2011 tax return using my SSN. I have filed a police report and followed all necessary steps with the exception of calling the IRS as they are closed on weekends. I will be calling them first thing tomorrow morning. Here is my question...how long does this take to fix? When will I be able to get my refund? I had plans for that money I can find article after article about victims but none really go into details about how long it takes to get it straightened out so I can get my refund.I am not a child. Is this iPad identity theft?
So like I tried downloading a FREE app but it said I needed 2 do this to my purchasing accountand I tapped on it and it took me to my account and it told me to type in my security, I typed it in and it worked and all, but I'm worried. It said that my account was opened in a different device and I'm worried someone will use my credit card. This is the first time this has happened since I got it in December.

Lets say 2 or more people stole someone's SSN. Can they each apply for multiple credit cards and loans, or will the bad credit ruin someone elses chances of applying for those credit cards. Just using that as an example.I know more than one person can steal money from your bank, but can 2 or more people keep applying for credit cards in your name and cause double the damage?

im no sure if its id theft yet, but i just got my credit report and some things are not matching up. which law enoforcement agency do i report to? the local police and how do i show proof or do i need any? im gettin scared. i dont even know how anyone can obtain credit in my name my credit was bad.

My credit is messed up and I try to fix that. I called to the 3 majors credit agency Equifax, Experian and Transunion to ask for my credit report. When I received my annual free credit report I found out one of those accounts is not belong to me because I never have that service before. I called to the collection agency to figure out what going on and they told me that account is with my social security number but is belong someone with another name and that person live in the north i never live there before so is not me . I told to them that is wrong because first I never live there before i dont even visit that place before and also I never have the service for that company, they told me to send them a copy of my social security card and my ID and Driver License copy. I did and now I waiting for they remove that information from my credit report. However, I am very concern about that because that mean someone use my social security information. What I should do? Please give me some advice because I really worry about this situation. Thank you in advance.

so my moms ex boyfriend was arrested for stealing mine and my sisters id he has credit cards etc in both of our names but my question is he opened a t mobile account in my name and i have a phone on this plan but he is the only one with access to it i never knew it was in my name so when i call t mobile to tell them its fradulent will they close the account or what are my options because personally i want the account but i have no access to it and he racked up a 926 dollar bill so i mean if they close it will i be able to open another account with them or can i just keep the account he made some other way and what will they say about the past due balance? and the only reason i found out the account was in my name is because hes in jail and the bill came in with my name on it i called them to try to talk to a rep but it was past hours of operation but its my name my social security number so advice here anyone pleaseok all i can do i guess is give them the police report but i dont even know if thats enough he lived at the same address as me very easy for him to get his hands on my DL as i leave it laying around and he just went went in my moms purse and got my social security card so how do i prove it i mean i have a phone on this account so that looks bad for me but like i said i didnt know the account was in my name and to be honest i would like to keep the account open but i refuse to pay his bill that he racked up but when i call t mobile i know more than likely they will close the account but will i be able to open a new one a just use the phone i already have? or can i explain this fraud to them and they just let me sign a new contract and i start off fresh?
