In the state of florida what makes a hybrid car parking spot a hybrid car parking spot?
I got a ticket for 15 bucks at the college of central florida for parking in a " hybrid" parking space. I only parked there due to there was NOT a single spot open in almost the whole campus and im not about to park a mile away and be late for class. I had two other cars park beside me and they didnt have a citation. The only thing they have to mark a hybrid parking spot is a sign that says " hybrid car parking only" how can you get away with it when staff has more parking then students, and then they take away more parking with these hybrid cars. THERE IS NO PLUG IN FOR THEM so how is it a hybrid spot if there is no plug in? so just because you spend 50 to 75 K for a hybrid you get a special parking place? i pay for my parking each year the people with hybrids shouldnt have there own special parking. Thats like me saying " oh i bought a porsche, does that mean i get special parking because i bought a expensive car?" if anyone can find a florida state law that mandates what making a parking spot hybrid or not that would be wonderful i appear infront of traffic court for the college on November 9th.If you all say most dont plug in and can run off gas, wouldnt that also qualify the to be just as good as a compact car? Why should anyone with a hybrid get special parking places when its just a normal car? Thats discrimination.
