Hey all again I watched a documentary on Discovery Channel a long while ago, I rembember them mentioning that there was a project in work that will supply a highway between Sweden and Norway with electrical car recharge points. If the US went to electric cars?
This would drop the world wide fuel usage and I believe fuel prices would drop considerably due to the flooded market. India, China, and Japan would then have very cheap fuel since so many countries main export is oil. We would be driving these piece of shit electric cars and the rest of the world would have very cheap gasoline. Seems like we would be loosing again. Also was wondering what the cost is to recharge these electric cars. If the prices of fuel did drop drastically do you think China,India,Japan and these other countries would still try to convert to electric cars, I don't think so
Who sells/will be selling electric cars in 5-10 years?
Right now an electric car such as a Nissan LEAF or a Chevrolet Volt is available to the public. Right now and in 5 10 years, who is going to be supplying these electric vehicles to people? Will they be to only be purchased from the company Nissan, Chevrolet, etc. , will they be only be able to be purchased from the government, or will they be sold at dealerships and available at auto auctions like other cars?

I wondered if there were any affordable electric cars out there in the market, or second hand ones.I've tried looking but can't seem to find any. Do you reckon I'll have to wait a few years before I can find one second hand for a few grand?
