How to propagate rosemary?
i have already tried, i put some cuttings in water, but the stems turned black and the leaves started falling, so i threw it away. i am now trying again, and it's about the tenth day already, and the stems, that in the begining where very pale green, are already turning brownish. i do change water sometimes. also, when i look closely at the stems through the water, there is some kind of fuzzy colorless thing on them. how can i increase the chance of finally seeing roots?

What are the flying insects living in my rosemary bush?
We trimmed my Rosemary bush back because a lot of dead branches due to drought. Then these flying insects looking a bit like a wasp only more a greenish gray started flying all around and eventually went back inside the thick intererior of the bush. They didn't buzz us or anything, just flew around. There may have been 15 20. Anyone have any ideas?
Is there a variety of edible rosemary that will not get too big?
It will be in full sun, the problem is all the varieties I have seen grow to about 2m x2m and I don't have that much space. Could I prune it to control size or would I just end up with a lot of dead, unproductive wood? I am in the UK
Can I save my rosemary plant?
I have a small Tucan Blue Rosemary plant that I received last summer. It had been doin really well this whole time. I recently left for spring break, which was one week, and couldn't bring my plant along with me. I made sure to water it before I left. I left it on my desk in front of my window, which is where it's always been. When I came back I was horrified to see my poor rosemary plant dried out It's not brown or anything, it's just dry. The soil is still wet but the branches and leaves seem dry. Is there anything I can do to save it?
Can I companion plant garlic with basil, cilantro OR rosemary?
I only have three pots and have basil, rosemary, and cilantro. The rosemary is already grown, I just have to pot it, but the other two are only seeds right now. I haven't potted any of them yet. I live in an apartment, so I'm trying to keep it down to about three pots. I have a sprouted clove of garlic that I'm going to try to grow as well, and I wondering if I could plant any of these together and if I can, which one?

How do I take care of this rosemary?
Today I couldn't resist buying a really fragrant rosemary plant at a farmer's market. Problem is, I don't know anything about plants. It's in a nursery pot and I've read that this herb needs good drainage but I don't know how to provide for it. I live in a dorm so something that doesn't involve buying a nice pot, bur rather making do with what I already have is ideal. The pot does have 4 drainage holes but do you suggest I put a plate or something underneath?
Can you propagate rosemary cuttings from the grocery? basil seed jelly?
Hi ROsemary plant is not very available here in the philippines but the kind you buy for cooking is. Can I start my rosemary plant from these cuttings really used for cooking? They are fresh but kept in the refrigerator. Will the refrigeration make it hard to root? or will the sudden change from fridge temperature to air temperature around 28 degrees celsius be to traumatic for the cutting? thanks for the help Oh and by the way, it has been raining lately and the basil seeds are still intact to the flowers but the water caused it to form jelly. I thought that it was fungus actually. anyway, will the seeds still germinate as readily as the dry ones? or are they dead? thanks again

Rosemary, jade and ivy plants?
Hi there, I just bought a tiny jade, rosemary and ivy. Now, how do I care for them?I took the ivy out of the pot and put it, soil and all in a vase of water ... I've done this before with other vines , and it worked out well. When it grows a bit more I will take clippings and repot. I want it to grow around my balcony.Does jade like water? Should I repot right away? Do they like sun? I live in a very bright bachelor apartment... Right now, I have it in the tiny pot it came in, suspended over a vase over water, so that the very bottom is touching the water. I was thinking I'd wait till the roots pop out and then I'd repoot.I've done the same with the rosemary....But I'm not sure if this is right.I'll google everything... But if anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you very much

Everbearing strawberry plant & Rosemary?
I purchased a small Everbearing Strawberry plant at Walmart back in June. It's happy, healthy and grown quite a bit in the pot it's in. Can I over winter this indoors or do I need to plant it outside in the garden? Is it possible to bury the pot to avoid the roots freezing and killing the roots? The reason I am asking is because I may have to move before winters end. As far as my rosemary plant...I grew it from seeds and it is doing great also in a pot. I know they dont do well indoors but can I bury the pot its in so I can keep it in a pot?
