I am doing a school project on the environment. Do people think we should be using solar panels to get free electricity from the sun? Is it expensive to achieve?

How do people go green?
I've been trying or dabbing a little with things like recycling and making my house a " greener house." Any tips? My boyfriend and his roommates recycling cans, but that's it. At my parents house, I've tried to recycle paper, plastic, cans, etc. Only now I'm being told there are certain plastic items you can't recycle like bottle caps?? Again, I'm not sure which is why I'm asking.

i have starting trying to live more ''green'' i switched my products cleaning and cosmetic hair to all natural organic. I try to conserve water and unplug things.. Go green: how can we go green if we all can't afford to?
this is so idiotic to me. how can people be expected to be more green and environmentally friendly if they don't have the means of doing so? for example. cars. fuel efficient cars. they're now available but...not so easily purchased seeing as how most americans CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY THEM. so i guess THE REAL QUESTION IS how are consumers able to help heal this economy and more importantly THE WORLD, if the money isn't there to do so?

im doing a project for science class and we have to come up with a new way to go green that hasnt been done yet.
Is the whole "going green" fad a load of crap?
There are advertisements every where about recycling, buying hybrid cars, etc. But is it really worth the time and effort? I'll just point out a few things I know from my knowledge. Hybrid cars run out of battery life faster, hence they must be replaced more frequently and batteries have toxic chemicals harmful to the environment. Recycling, I believe is worthless because it would take hundreds of years to recycle all of the aluminum and plastic we have sitting in our rotting land fills. And also for these electric powered cars, who in the world has the money nowadays to pay for a fat electric bill each month and to continually buy batteries besides someone making $100,000 annually, same for hybrids. Well, that's the way I look at it I know there are many pros and cons to this subject. What do you guys think? I am interested in knowing.
How do I email Disney Channel or Nickelodeon about their going green projects?

What kind of go-green projects could me and a few friends do?
I'm writing a speech for a contest. My speech is on how I can make agriculture the environment better. Or how some of the things we in Louisiana do harm our land and things of that. I need help, what could me and my FFA officer team do in order for me to have experience in this type of thing so I can get better research? I've tried looking things up but nothing really tells me anything, it just says things I could do around the house.
What is a good way to start off a speech about going green?
