It's German Shepherd. Yes, if you know how to prepare a homemade or raw diet, then a litter of 4 weeks old puppies can go directly to a raw or homemade diet once they are weaned. Unless you have spent years studying how to train guard dogs, then YOU do not train a dog to be a guard dog. It's a very expensive process that's done by professionals. They train only dogs that are suited to guard dog training - meaning a properly bred and properly tempered dog. Expect such a dog to run $2500+ and the training to be another $5000-$10000. A guard dog doesn't recognize who is good and who is bad. The job of a guard dog is to guard their people and their property while they are working. They can't tell the difference between a kid selling tickets to his baseball games and a criminal casing your house. When leashed, they are not supposed to "attack " until told to do so or until a direct threat is imminent. There is no training to make a dog psychic. |
