Is there a healthy dog food I can buy at the grocery store or Target?
My dog has terrible itching and while I would LOVE to buy him an expensive food from a pet store, we cannot afford that. Are there ANY I can buy at Target or Walmart that would help? If not, whats the best priced one?

Nutro Brand. No wheat or corn in it. The ingreadiants looks very healthy. Nothing artificial etc.. They wag their tails when its time to eat but once they sniff what they have been served they prefer to starve. They both walk away from it and finally eat it when desperate. They only get served 1 small cup of food day. They are small 6 lb dogs.Is this normal? why dont they like healthy dog food? They loved their old food but I think one of them had an allergy because of the wheat in it.

I am getting a puppy soon and learned all about dog foods and thought maybe to save money and make it last longer i could buy something like beneful and the expensive stuff. I could maybe put like a 75 to 25 percent ratio? 75 being the good stuff. not sure if would hurt anything. She would still be getting good nutrients from dog treats and the good food....By the way, I will buy what is needed for my dog. I am only asking advice. If it turned out that its really a bad idea then i will not do it. I absolutely LOVE animals, so to those people that get all crazy, I would rather not hear what you have to say...

No 'raw dog food' recipes i don't like them. I have a 3 year old chihuahua and i want to feed her homemade dog food. Im tired of feeding her the same dog food that she doesnt eat untill an hour after we give it to her. I want to feed her something she loves and if healthy for her. Also i would perfer if you gave me recipe s in the answer not a website. I also would like to feed her soft food not hard food and i would very much apreciate it if the ingredients are 8 or less. Hey so We went to his petstore about 2 months ago and we were talking to the lady about homemade dog food. and she said she knows a lady who makes great homemade dog food and sells it... the lady gave us the recipe because its WAY cheaper... and weve been making it for our dogs for about 1 1 1 2 months... we make it with Turkey, Brocoli and Carrots here is the recipe... you pick which meat veggies go in,,, you mix them in a bowl and then you bake them in muffin trays... my aunt said they look too fatty and might be unhealthy... what do you guys think???? here is the website theskyesthelimit.com CLIngredients.htm
Healthy dog foods to feed my pup?
My little girl is turning a year old in a few months and when that time comes I want to start feeding her good, healthy food by then I will have finished my big bag of dry puppy food..not letting my money go to waste..don't judge . The food I have now isn't as bad as the commercial stuff like Purina and all those, but it's still not great. Enough of this chicken bi product and corn crap. What are tasty, nutritious dog food that is fit for small dogs? she's a maltese . Thanks in advance
HEALTHY dog food for my sensitive dog?
My dog Lucy is a 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. When I first adopted her, she was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and after many food switches, we my vet and I decided on Science Diet for sensitive stomache. At that point, I was just happy to get her tummy feeling better I didn't care about ingredients or anything. She was also on Flagyll spelling? every day. Eventually, it got to the point where she was weaned off the Flagyll and I attested it to the food. However, the vet says she might have just grown out of the IBS. But recently, I've done some research on Science Diet and I'm really concerned about the ingredients in her food. I want to try something else but I don't even know where to start. Does anyone have any ideas of HEALTHY dog food for my Lucy's upset tummy?
What really is the healthiest dog food?
I have a retriever and a boxer lab mix. A few years ago I had switched from Purina Beniful to Purina One, then after doing some reading I Switched to Purina Pro Plan shredded lamb or chicken which they have been eating for several months now, then noticing that they were becoming disinterested in that dog food last week I bought a bag of Purina One again . They don't seem to like it either and my boxer lab did not eat but a few morsels at first and thenI after a couple days he finally ate until yesterday again. Now I am pretty sure he is not sick because he did eat some table scraps just to be sure he was not feeling ill. So I want to try something new for them, any suggestions.
