What can i do with cigar boxes?
My husband works for a guy that loves cigars. He brought home some small empty cigar boxes. One is black and the other one is burgandy. I have no use for these, but he wants to keep them. Theyre not very pretty so I dont want to put them on display, but I dont really have anything to put in them What else can I do with them? Hes so persitant on keeping them...
How much are wood cigar boxes worth?
i have about 300 cedar wood all different styles. Also how do i go about selling them if they are worth anything?
I have 2 very old authentic cedar Honduran cigar boxes when cigars were only 25 cents each. Price boxes?
These boxes are gorgeous, one is 6" x6" x3 1 2" , the other is 9" across, 7" long, and only 1 1 2" tall. Both made entirely of cedar and have all original papers and burnt work on wood. One is Dutch Masters, the other is Baccarat. They have great brass hardware to open close and on the hinges in back. Each held 25 cigars.I have a neighbor who wants to buy them from me they were given to me from an acquaintance years ago but I have no idea how much to sell them for. Can you help with any ideas for pricing these rare boxes? Thanks in advance
How do I preserve a cardboard cigar box?
My husband kept the box that held the " It's a Boy" cigars in it from our first baby and now we're having a girl and have a similar box of cigars all ready to pass out. I thought it was cute that he wants to keep the boxes, but I fear that because they're not wooden that they'll get ruined. Does anyone know how to preserve them? I thought about polyurathane, but didn't know how that would work out. Has anyone had any luck sealing these style of boxes safely? Thanks so much
Where can I find cheap cigar box hinges?
I am looking for the cheap thin hinges you find on cigar boxes. If you can find it on woodcraft.com, it is not what I am looking for. They are not screwed in, nor are the inserted through a kerf saw blade. They are barbed, and look to be pressed or hammered into the actual wood of the box. I cannot find these anywhere, only jewelry box hinges that must be screwed in.Example img11.imageshack.us img11 7048 cigarboxhinge.jpgThanks Thanks, but I have seen the kerf ones and I do not want those.
