The best scent oil for making candles?
I am fairly new to making candles and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions of what kind of scent oil would give the strongest scent throw. I plan to make container candles so I will be using a softer wax. I have read that certain additives like vibar also help the wax contain more of the scent oil. But for now I would just like to know a good scent oil to buy
Where should I begin on making candles?
I am wanting to start making candles and have no clue where to begin. I have seen candle making kits in stores but they are pretty much a foreign language to me on which one is the best and what is going to give me supplies I will need. Can anyone please help me ?
Can you substitute febreze spray for fragrance oil when making candles?
My wife makes candles, and I love the smell of febreze. I was wondering if she could add febreze to the wax instead of a fragrance oil to give the candle a febreze scent? If not, does febreze make a fragrance oil for candle making?

Where can I buy wax to make candles?
I don't want to buy the wax from the internet. I'd like to purchase it from a store. What stores sell candle wax? I live in Mesquite, Tx 75150 which is next to Dallas. We have a lot of stores so if you happen to know the name of a store give it to me and I'll figure out where the closest one is. Thanks for your help.Ps. I make candles using 2 pots (double broiler) Looking for another way to melt the wax?
I can no longer make candles inside my home due to the smell and other family members. I was thinking of a hot plate but want to get away from using 2 pots to do this. Anyone use anything different I can try out?
How can I make candle stay up in candleholder without tipping over?
My candles are regular size, but the candleholder hole seems to be too wide to hold it in. It keeps tilting sideways and spilling the wax all over the place. Any tricks to make it stand straight up?hey it worked dripping the hot wax. It was scary bec i felt like the other candles would tip over on my hand asI was tipping one of the candle's was in the holder, but they are all erect now What a mess it had made, I had foil underneath but some dripped onto my table so thanks
