Looking for advice on walkie talkies or baby monitors for my grandparent and I?
I'm going to be moving in with my grandparent soon to help her out with household chores and transferring toileting etc. I don't want to be tied to the living room so to speak, and I don't want to leave her high and dry and needing to potty. Which would be better A baby monitor or a walkie talkie? Her arthritis is pretty bad She wouldn't be able to hit any tiny buttons or read frequency numbers, but I don't know if baby monitors can really be turned on off like we'd need.Any advice is welcome.

I have been using BT baby monitor 100 for the past month with no problems at all. Last night the parent unit kept cutting out then would work again. We took then back and got a new set today. Some friends live in a community house, several have babies. Is there a baby monitoring system that can cope?
My friends can be in different parts of the house, and the babies are in separate bedrooms. Monitoring systems already tried clash on frequencies or do not have enough power to get signal through walls. Is there a system that can cope? Is there a way of adjusting baby monitors with radio crystals such as with radio controlled aircraft? so they do not clash?In response to " why don't they listen out..." the place where they live used to be a Nunnery. Picking up other signals through a baby monitor?
How far of a signal do baby monitors generally have? We just turned off the main end of the baby monitor, and we forgot to turn off the receiving end the listening end and we started picking up a signal of a family having a conversation. I didn't think the monitors had that great of a signal? And even so, what is the likelihood of it picking up a signal from something else? Some other electronic device
Baby Monitors interfering with wireless?!?
Hi, having problems with our baby monitors, we found out they where the problem to our wireless problems, could anybody tell me if Tomy Baby Link monitors are ok with wireless, or could you give me any more that dont interfere, thanksThey are interfering because everytime we plug them in the internet goes off Everytime we unplug them, internet works fine COINCEDENCE? i dont think so. I wouldnt of posted this question if i wasnt so sure.
